Balance Strength & Ease: An Inversion Workshop

with Ruah Bhay

In yoga, Sthira Sukham Asanam teaches us that every pose—and every experience in life—must balance effort (sthiram) and ease (sukham). Inversions are no different. They require stability and strength, yet also lightness and ease.

This 90-minute workshop will help you explore inversions in a way that feels grounded, safe, and empowering. Whether you’re just beginning or refining your practice, you’ll learn how to create a foundation that allows you to lift with confidence, grace, and control.

We’ll start with a dynamic flow designed to open and strengthen the shoulders, core, legs, and spine, followed by deep rest. Then, we’ll break down key inversions like headstand, shoulder stand, forearm stand, and handstand, offering techniques, modifications, and progressions to support every level.

What You’ll Gain from This Workshop:

  • Strength & Stability—Build the muscular foundation needed to support your body in inversions.

  • Lightness & Ease—Learn how breath and alignment make going upside down feel effortless.

  • Personalized Support—Receive hands-on adjustments, modifications, and progressions tailored to your needs.

  • Mindset Shift—Cultivate the balance of effort and surrender, both in your practice and in life.

  • Confidence & Playfulness—Step beyond fear and embrace inversions with curiosity and joy.

No experience necessary! Whether you're just beginning or looking to refine your inversions, this workshop is for anyone ready to balance strength and ease—on the mat and beyond.

Join Ruah to explore the art of going upside down with stability, lightness, and joy!
